Stylish Garden Wedding in Dorset // Alix & Tom
Fun, Sparkly Garden CelebrationOh my there are so many cool things about this wedding I don't know where to start. This summer garden wedding in Dorset was so chilled out and SO MUCH FUN. Which was no surprise, as this is the kind of couple Alix & Tom are, as I learnt last year during their Richmond Park pre-wedding shoot. The wedding was managed and catered by Alix's own catering company. Yes she's an awesome girl boss, which is how I met her, seeing her and her crew in action at a cool London wedding that I shot last year. Can I just say that their catering is the most delicious & healthy wedding food I've ever had the pleasure to try. Alix looked absolutely breathtaking in her gorgeous gorgeous Needle & Thread bridal gown that she found on the internet. Her dear friend Blue designed and made all the contemporary bridesmaids outfits and friend Debbie made the stunning over-arm bouquet. After kissing the couple's dog Pepper goodbye (favourite photo moment), Alix led her bridal party on a short walk up the road to the church for the ceremony. From there is was a short drive for the newlyweds to Springhead Trust for a stunning summer celebration. Tom & Alix had some time to enjoy the quiet and beautiful gardens as guests arrived, and I nabbed some portraits while they were at it. Alix surprised Tom with a steel drum band which was just the perfect vibe for the day. As guests enjoyed the summer sun and beautiful gardens, they were served fresh oysters, champagne & canapes. I have never seen so much laughter during group photos, this is how I wish they always were, because you'll see how relaxed and happy everyone looks as a result. The speeches were both hilarious and warm, and the wedding cake was made by another dear friend who flew a significant part of the cake and handmade decorative flowers all the way from Australia! The Supertones performed favourite wedding tunes and the dance floor was full for the entire evening. To top the night off, Alix re-emerged as a Golden Glamour Dance Floor Goddess in another amazing outfit that Blue had made for her, complete with it's own crown. Ah, I'm out of breath now. Scroll, scroll and see for yourself!
